Copyright or Trademark?

I'm a young filmmaker (in Canada), and as I continue to make projects, I want to protect them from people stealing my ideas or whatever. Do I need to make a trademark of, for example, my company name and label that on every single project or do I have to pay $250 to copyright every single video I make?
